In the article the main directions of application of «green» technologies in construction are examined, as well as the issue of conservation of resources throughout the whole life cycle of the construction object i.e. from the initiation of the project to the exploitation and demolition of the building. Prospects and constraints for the development of «green» construction in Russia at the present stage are defined.
