  • The cognitive model of a digital university: structural and functional aspects of the analysis

    The article considers the process of digitalization of the higher education system based on cognitive methodology. Based on the method of cognitive maps, the structural and functional aspects of the formation of a digital university in the context of the transition to a digital economy are visualized. The basic elements that determine the process of transition to a digital university (creation of a digital educational environment, formation of digital competencies, management based on a database, ensuring information security) are presented. It is determined that in the process of transition to a digital university, changes are systemic in nature, and affect management, educational, methodological and research practices, qualification requirements for all subjects of the educational process, changes in the body of technologies, methods, approaches and tools.

  • Organization of formal cognitive model processing schemes

    The article offers schemes and models that allow using formal parameters and procedures to expand the capabilities of cognitive modeling and increase the level of adequacy of decisions made based on the results of modeling. The paper presents various variants of modeling schemes, which allows the researcher to perform a more versatile analysis of the system, including the analysis of dynamic effects, as well as the selection of parameters of control actions that provide the desired level of system response.

  • Simulation models of the pressure device of a paper machine

    The pressure device of a paper machine (BDM) is a rather complex object of regulation with many internal and external connections, requiring modern, intelligent algorithms and control systems. The introduction of such automated process control systems is constrained by high requirements for the qualification of service personnel. Thus, the goal is to obtain adequate models of the pressure device on the basis of a production experiment and simulation, to reduce and validate them, which will allow using traditional regulators and control methods.

  • Development of a mixing unit design for high-gradient mixing of coagulant solutions with water

    The parameters of the mixers widely used in the practice of water treatment are given. A fundamentally new design of the mixing unit is proposed, which provides a process of rapid and complete mixing of reagents in a thin layer of a rotating flow of a pre-created water-air mixture using the method of concentrated coagulation. At the same time dispersion of air bubbles is carried out. A detailed description of the design, operating principle and basic design parameters of the mixer used in the mixing unit.

  • Improving the thermal protection of building enclosing structures

    The results of the analysis of quality parameters of building materials used for insulation of walls of residential buildings are presented. The problem of increased consumption of thermal energy for heating needs is identified, the solution of which is to increase the thermal characteristics of the enclosing walls of buildings by means of their insulation and protection by the system of a hinged ventilated facade.

  • On the ratio of the strength parameters of sandy soils when tested in a compression odometer with measurement of lateral stresses and a single-plane shear device

    Methods and results of determining indicators of deformation and strength properties of soils using various laboratory test technologies are considered. The research objective is to verify the methodological correctness of the results obtained from tests in a compression odometer chamber with the ability to measure lateral stresses. The relevance of this development lies in the possibility of replacing this device with testing to determine the strength characteristics of the soil in shear devices. The results of tests of fine sand lying at the base of the projected sports and recreation complex at one of the construction sites in Penza are presented. The influence of the used test methods on the obtained values ​​of the strength and deformability characteristics is shown. Correlation indicators are revealed and corresponding conclusions and proposals are given. There is a possibility that the method is valid when some correlation coefficients are used. Therefore, in the future, it is necessary to conduct tests on different types of soils with the possible compilation of tables of conversion factors.

  • Research of the spatial distribution of microstructural and electrical parameters in a powerful convective cloud based on a three-dimensional numerical model

    The paper considers the characteristics of cloud convection obtained in the course of computational experiments on the basis of a three-dimensional physical and mathematical model of convective clouds, which takes into account in detail the microphysical processes of nucleation, condensation or sublimation of water vapor, coagulation and accretion of precipitation particles, accumulation of volume electric charges, and an increase in the electric field strength. clouds due to charge separation processes occurring during the rapid freezing of large supercooled drops, accretionary growth of cereals and hailstones. Based on the data of numerical modeling using the noted model, the location in the volume of the microstructural parameters of thunderstorm clouds (water content and ice content), space charges, electric field strength, radar reflectivity in the centimeter range, and other parameters at fixed times of cloud evolution was investigated.

  • Institutional barriers to the development of the knowledge economy

    The formation and effective development of the knowledge economy in the country is possible only with a stable and Mature institutional environment. Indices of the knowledge economy and institutional regime calculated using the world Bank methodology determine the country's readiness for further development. According to the rating, Russia shows a problematic institutional component. The article examines the main institutional problems and barriers, namely institutional traps that hinder the development of the knowledge economy, explains their mechanisms and consequences for the Russian economy, and suggests ways out of them.

  • Problems of ensuring the safety of water supply and sanitation networks

    The article discusses the causes of accidents in water supply and sanitation systems. methods for improving the quality of drinking water in the construction and reconstruction of water pipes, the use of new materials to reduce breakdowns on networks are considered. the analysis of the durability of pipelines made of various materials is carried out, according to which it is concluded which material is the best in use for installation work. frequent destruction of pipes occurs from an aggressive environment, so a comparative analysis of various materials from which they are made: polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, reinforced concrete, cast iron and fiberglass. due to poor-quality cleaning, there are environmental problems that occur when using old structures, lack of funding. It is concluded that fiberglass pipes can serve as a high-quality material.

  • Regularities of carbon monoxide in the air of the Krasnoarmeisky district of the linear city of Volgograd

    The article deals with the laws of distribution of pollutants in a linear city. The highest values of carbon monoxide concentration were determined in the near-main territories of the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. Also in this paper, the question of the dependence of the level of gas pollution in the mainline areas on various factors, which include human activity and natural, natural factors, is raised. The influence of temperature inversions on the speed of pollution propagation and their limiting value in various points of the city is considered. For the experimental part, 18 points of technical measurements of CO concentration were taken, during which compliance with the MPC standards of the samples taken was revealed.

  • Instruments for experimental construction of a model of errors of a MEMS accelerometer

    The problem of experimental determination of the parameters of the error model of MEMS accelerometers is considered. Possible sources of errors and their nature are shown. When developing a model of errors, the influence of non-orthogonality of the axes, temperature dependences of the conversion coefficient, and displacement of zeros were taken into account. A mathematical model of the MEMS accelerometer errors and an algorithm for the experimental determination of its parameters have been developed. Specific structural schemes of the stands are presented. Their hardware and software implementation is described. Specific features of temperature control in a small-sized heat chamber with a heater and a cooler based on a Peltier element are considered. An example of experimental estimation of the parameters of the error model for one axis of the MPU6050 accelerometer is shown. The developed tools make it possible to start a systematic study and objective comparison of the characteristics of MEMS accelerometers from different companies, as well as to obtain their working error models suitable for use in filtering algorithms in the construction of various systems of inertial navigation and angular stabilization of objects.

  • Analysis of subsidence processes during compression compression of clay soils in the Rostov region and the Republic of Kalmykia

    Based on the results of engineering and geological survey of real construction sites in Rostov-on-Don and the Republic of Kalmykia, the dynamics of subsidence processes on laboratory samples of loess soil tested for compression according to the "one curve" scheme according to GOST 23161-2012 was studied.

  • The reaction of a building with a kinematic seismic isolation system to wind force and its analysis by means of Lira-SAPR

    The article describes the device and principle of operation of the Kurzanov-Semyonov kinematic support. Advantages and disadvantages of this type seismic isolation are also highlighted. In addition, the structural design scheme of the operated high-rise apartment building with and without kinematic support system was created in the Lira-CAD software package (CAE FEA software). Based on the computing results, a comparative analysis of the reaction of the building superstructure block under the influence of wind force in three directions was carried out. It was determined that the wind force does not affect the performance of the kinematic support system negatively.
